Even if you take them off the walls and store them separately, they will not get dull. Although the quality of these wallpapers is very good, you still have to take some measures to ensure that they are going to look good as new after a few years.

How to make wallpapers look good as new

When you buy something you want to enjoy its  beauty for a long time. This helps in maximizing its beauty and functionality. By following certain tips and guidelines, you can make sure that your wallpapers look good as new after some time. These wallpapers can easily be removed when desired. Here are some key practices to consider:

Surface preparation: The most important factor when it comes to applying custom peel and stick wallpaper is the surface preparation. some people don’t clean the surface that they want to apply the wallpaper on before they apply it. For the longevity of the peel and stick wallpaper you have to ensure that the surface is clean, smooth, and free from any dust or grease. You can clean the surface with soapy water and let it dry completely before applying the wallpaper

Temperature and humidity: Peel and stick wallpapers are the best in environments that have a moderate temperature and controlled humidity levels. Ensure that the room you are going to apply the wallpaper in has a moderate temperature and humidity level during the installation and throughout the lifespan of the wallpaper. Extreme weather temperatures can often cause the wallpaper to come off the walls. This is because the adhesive at the back is compromised.

Gentle application: when applying wallpaper you need to make sure that your touch is very gentle. Moving at a fast pace or using harsh strokes can damage the surface of the wallpaper. To remove air bubbles use a credit card or a soft cloth. This will ensure a tight bond between the wallpaper and wall.

Prevent moisture damage: Moisture can weaken the adhesive that is at the back of the wallpaper. Prevent water or excessive moisture from getting behind the wallpaper or coming in contact with it. Avoid installing peel and stick wallpaper in areas that have high humidity such as bathroom and kitchen. You can also consider applying a sealant over the wallpaper to minimize any moisture damage. Bathroom wallpaper that is peel and stick can be used in areas with moisture.

Careful removal: When it is time to remove the wallpaper make sure that all the damage is minimized. Start from the corner of the wallpaper and slowly start to peel, pulling it at 180° angle. You can also apply gentle heat from a hairdryer as low heat can help loosen the adhesive at the back of the wallpaper and make it easy to come off the wall.

Using peel and stick wallpaper can help update your space in no time. These wallpapers will not only make your house look good but they will also help in adding value to your space.
