StudioSTL: Overlooking Discovery Bay with the Olympic mountains shining in the distance, this home was placed on the property to capture the panoramic view while maintaining easy access and connection to the forested setting. The meandering approach to the house was carefully located to preserve the raw nature of the property. The home's interior is detailed with a beautiful, exposed steel surround on the fireplace, a unique dining room table hand-crafted by a local artisan, and a custom staircase leading to the viewing loft. Warm accents of natural wood balance the subdued interior design. Opposing sliding doors off the living room and a window seat opposite the Kitchen solidify the connection to the outdoors. A rear courtyard surrounded by trees provides a quiet space to enjoy the natural surroundings.
