Saving the identity of Downtown Cairo as an essential space for cultural, political, and socializing scene in Egypt for decades, finding a way through the near globalization movement through revival of the most important theme of Pre-globalization downtown Cairo, Exposing the artistic character of khedival downtown as one of the most important artistic and cultural scenes in the region.

The site was always a witness to the evolution of Cairo's architecture through ages and witness of the beauty and greatness of Cairo's architectural heritage.

So, the-Mokattam is considered a camera that filmed all the old events and entering into a camera as you would get in a photo project and pass the line between reality and image, between real image and latent image, between the real and its reproduction and travel to the past which is to revive the cultural aspects of the area.
