Relativity Architects Excels in Production Studio, Housing, and Hospitality Projects.

Award-winning Los Angeles firm Relativity Architects (RA), known for its culturally relevant design approach, has expanded its international multidisciplinary design capabilities by opening an office in Madrid, Spain, to support partners and clients throughout Europe. During the firm’s 10-year history, RA has been the chosen architect behind many production studio, commercial, housing, hospitality, mixed-use, and adaptive-reuse projects throughout the United States. With five offices, California, Colorado, Florida, Buenos Aires, and Spain, RA is dedicated to creating spaces that engage people, nurture community, and enhance urban life.

The expansion to Spain showcases the firm’s successful track record and rapid growth. The new office allows RA to continue building its portfolio focused on technologically advanced and art-infused projects while supporting its overseas clients. The Spain office is currently working on a large hospitality project in Greece and actively pursuing opportunities to extend its production studio expertise to the region.

Leading the new office is Associate Principal of RA Spain, Teresa Martin-Rico, AIA, who was raised in the country. She is returning after a decade working in Los Angeles. Martin-Rico is joined by Studio Director Marcos Moll De Leon and Project Manager Daniel Sosa-Navarro. Relativity’s Founding Principals—Scott Sullivan, AIA, and Tima Bell, Assoc. AIA—and Associate Principal Ginna Claire Nguyen, Assoc. AIA, are also active in developing work throughout Europe.

“Relativity Architects’ diverse portfolio of projects has fueled our growth into additional markets,” says Bell. “We utilize our expertise to create facilities that improve people’s lives in various settings, including housing, workplaces, restaurants, retail, hotels, movie studios, and other projects. Our Spain office allows us to apply those talents to clients on a global scale.” The firm also recently opened offices in Colorado Springs, CO, Orlando, FL, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
