Public Space › Sensory Architecture

Architect Leonardo Rotsen signs the space with a deeply personal and sensorial concept. Inspired by his life experiences and the desire to honor terracotta in its purest and most contemporary form, Leonardo envisioned a space that celebrates natural elements such as clay, water, and light — a poetic encounter between the rustic and the refined. The entire environment was built around the preservation of a single original tree from the courtyard, now embraced by a reflecting pool that became the centerpiece of the project. The composition of the BELLÔ cobogós, designed by the architect himself in partnership with BEL LAR, brings movement, light, and shadow throughout the day, evoking curiosity and contemplation in those who walk through the space.

Another highlight is the terracotta furniture and the large floating sculptures of Vitória- Régias (giant water lilies), specially created for the reflecting pool, adding another layer of artisanal sophistication to the design.

More than a project, this space is an architectural experience that awakens the senses and invites visitors to immerse themselves in an enveloping atmosphere — where every element was designed to inspire emotion and linger in memory.

Leonardo Rotsen’s design is a beautiful example of how architecture can be both deeply personal and environmentally conscious. The way he honors terracotta, natural light, and the existing tree creates a space that feels alive and connected. At Artisticks, we also draw inspiration from nature and tradition in our handcrafted architectural accents. You can explore our work here: https://www.artisticks.co.in/. Truly inspiring project!
