In 2020, Design+Architecture was commissioned by Livingstone Shire Council to design an art gallery in Yeppoon. First considerations were for the site's uniqueness: a narrow, sloping block nestled behind two historic Fig trees and situated beside Yeppoon’s original Post Office. It was paramount that the gallery was humble yet responded to its context. The design delivers a much-needed artist precinct while retaining and celebrating the significant history of the site.

This year, the world’s most renowned architecture prize for skyscrapers, the Emporis Skyscraper Award, goes to the Valley in Amsterdam. Created by Dutch architecture studio MVRDV, Valley is a mixed-use building complex with three towers and a unique design inspired by mountain sides and valleys.

Jens Brinkmann  of United Architektur was one of the Design Architects for the Start-up incubator and co-working space in Cottbus that officially opened on October 15th 2021. The building aims to promote innovation and creativity to generate new forms of work in both the city of Cottbus and the surrounding Lausitz region in the wake of the political decision to phase out coal nationwide.
