This lake house is on Lake Chelan’s south shore and looks north up the reach of this fifty-mile-long lake as it winds its way through the North Cascades. Glaciers feed the lake and account for its stunning azure blue color. Lake Chelan is noted for its hot arid climate, clear waters, and Alps-like scenery.

The natural configuration of the land inspired the name of Casa Colina, located at Fazenda Boa Vista, in the interior of São Paulo. Positioned in a format resembling the letter “c”, the project allowed visual contact with all the ground floor environments of the residence.

The couple who owns the house had a clear intention about the social atmospheres. For them, everyone should be visible and part of the family, no matter if cooking, reading, or working from home. On the other hand, they wanted to be comfortable at night without feeling uneased by shadows and exterior movements.

The house derives its name from the video game of the 90s - Tetris and is designed as an interlocking composition of many smaller volumes. The house is situated in Greater Noida and is built on a plot size of 200 square meters.

Located at the edge of the sea within a field of black lava, this four-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot retreat has been designed in sympathy with its surroundings. Like a small village, the set of six modest structures—a central main hale (Hawaiian for house), four guest hales, and a garage—are arrayed around a shared, terraced courtyard. Each structure is oriented to capture views of the ocean or courtyard.
